Ingredients

Kunafa dough (half 200 g.m)

Grated mozzarella cheese (one cup)

Unsalted butter (three tablespoons)

[for syrup]

Sugar (one cup)

Water (two cups)

Rose water (few drops)

Lemon juice (one tea spoon)

Directions

1Break kunafa dough with hands, separate them and make sure that no sticky threads in dough.

2Mix unsalted butter in broken threads and mix well.

3For syrup boil water, add sugar and cook until it become one and half cup syrup, after cooking add rosewater and lemon juice in syrup.

4Grease a baking pan with butter and spread half amount of broken kunafa threads equally and press them tightly with hands.

5Spread grated cheese on kunafa dough and press, after that spread remaining kunafa dough on it and press tightly with hands.

6Bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven (slow heat).

7Remove kunfa upside down after baking and spread sugar syrup on it equally.

8Cut slowly for pieces with chopping knife.
