Spicy Chicken Tandoori Recipe

 1 Chicken , whole 1 kg
 red Chilli powder 3 tsp
 Lemon juIce 4 tbsp
 Salt to taste
 Yogurt 1 1½ cup
 Ginger paste 3 tbsp
 Garlic paste 3 tbsp
 Garam masala powder 1 ½
 Mustard Oil 4 tbsp
 Lemon, cut 2
 Butter to taste

Make incisions with a sharp knife on the chicken breast, legs and thighs. Apply a mixture 1 1½ tsp red chilli powder, 2 tbsp lemon juice and salt over the chicken and set aside for 1 hour.

For the marinade, tie up yogurt in a piece of muslin and hang over a bowl for 20-30 minutes.

Add yogurt into another bowl and remaining red chilli powder , remaining lemon juice,, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste , garam masala powder and mustard oil and mix all of them .

Rub this mixture over the chicken and marinate for three to four hours in a refrigerator.

Skew the chicken onto a skewer and cook in a moderately hot tandoor (clay oven) or in a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/Gas 15 minutes or until almost done.

Baste chicken with a little butter and cook for another four minutes. Remove and set aside serve with lemon and naan.you can serve it also with rice.
