Zafraani Zarda Khoya Recipe

 , BOiled rIce 1½ kg , Sugar 250 grams , Khoya 250 grams , Clarified Butter 250 grams , Cardamom 6 , Zafran 1½ tsp , Kewra 1½ tsp , Orange food color 1½ tsp Raisins 2 tbsp , Almonds/Pistachios 2 tbsp , Coconut 2tbsp , Asharfiyan 2 tbsp

1. In a pan boil 1½ kg rice and add 1½ tsp orange food color and then sieve. Now in another pan heat 250 grams clarified butter and add 6 cardamoms. As the aroma arises from cardamoms add 250 grams sugar and 1½ cup of water. 2. When the syrup gets ready add 2 tbsp almonds and pistachios, 1½ tsp zafran, 2 tbsp asharfiyan, 2 tbsp raisins, 2 tbsp coconut, 250 grams khoya and 1½ tsp kewra in rice. Cover the pan and leave it for half an hour. Delicious special zarda is ready to serve.
